Foundations of Movement
003: Progressive Overload
In this class, we explore how strength is built without adding external resistance. Using time under tension and weight transfer, we’ll investigate how effort increases—and how the body adapts—when movement is sustained or load is redirected through the limbs.
Rather than chasing fatigue, the emphasis is on intelligent challenge: noticing how small shifts in timing, range, or leverage change what’s being asked of the body. This session offers practical tools for progressing mat work in ways that feel demanding, organized, and sustainable.
